At least one video must be submitted by the 31st August
Each event must be submitted as one continuous, unedited video. Athletes will score points for each event in typical strongman style, with your positioning versus other athletes determining your score.
Specific Event Rules:
Monster DB. The athlete will have 60s from making contact with the DB to perform a clean and press with each arm. In order for a rep to count, the athlete's arm and knees must be locked out, underneath the dumbbell.
In the video the dumbbell must be shown weighed on a zero-ed scale. Athletes may re-attempt as many failed reps as they like, provided the two successful reps were within 60s of each other. All belts, sleeves and wrist wraps are permitted.
Farmers. Athletes will pick up their farmers behind a marked line and drop them over another marked line 10m away. The farmers must break the line, they do not need to fully clear it. No drops or ground contact is permitted between pickup and crossing the line.
The video must clearly show the distance between the two lines is 10m. Only one farmers handle needs to be weighed on a zero-ed scale, provided it's obvious the two handles are identical. The handle and plates may be weighed separately. Hands must be shown to the camera before the attempt. All belts, sleeves, wraps and chalks permitted. No straps or tacky.
Sandbag over Yoke. Athletes will have 60s to lift a bag over a yoke as many times as possible. 80kg for women and 120kg for men! Athletes may run around, under, or jump over the yoke, and must not have hands on the bag before the time starts.
The video must show the sandbag weighed on zero-ed scales. The height of the yoke must also be measured on video and be no lower than 48" for men and 44" for women. All sleeves, belts and chalk permitted. No tacky.
Please submit your videos via the phone number: 07388 922987 to @coach.butts on WhatsApp. In the video description add your name, event and event score. For example, "Tom Butts - Monster Dumbbell - 50kg". You may resubmit attempts as many times as you like.
