Battle for the Island 2

Our 2nd Strongman/Strongwoman contest will take place over this weekend at Iron Island gym.   Beginner, Novice,  Intermediate and Open categories for both men and women.  Following on from last years event we are trying something different.  There will be 6 events over 2 days so each category will do 3 events Saturday and 3 Sunday!

Beginners category is for people who may have done a first timers comp and not been on podium. If you have been on podium in any category you will be expected to step up to the next category (this is strongman!) It will be fun.

Day one

The ISLAND BEDS 
overhead medley, log, monster dumbell axle press, all floor to overhead in 60 seconds.

NW 45kg log, 30kg dB 45kg axle

NM 70kg log, 45kg dB 70kg axle

Inter W 55kg log 35kg db, 55kg axle

Open W 60kg log, 40kg db, 60kg axle

Open M 120kg log, 70kg db, 120kg axle

Axle deadlift for reps in 60 seconds.  No suits, straps allowed

Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 places in each category. 

We will crown the Island Kaukauwa. 

There will be a covered athlete area and food and drink available.  The event will take place in the gym car park. There is plenty of parking nearby.

Athletes, officials and official photographer only allowed in the competition area. No coaches or other photographers. 

Normal Strongman rules apply and referees decisions are final. This includes behaviour and language as this event will be open to family spectators and athletes. only one warning will be given or points deducted.
