This competition is open to everyone and the categories focus on the weights used in each event rather than bodyweight, experience or gender.
To decide which category is best for you, simply look at the events and weights and choose which will be the best challenge for your current level of strength.Nobody likes trophy hunters, not even their mum’s, so don't be THAT person.
EVENT 1 - SILVER DOLLAR DEADLIFT (no suits. straps are allowed)
Rising bar, last person standing. 10kg increments up to 200kg, then 20kg increments.
Starting weights:
BANTAM - 110kg
WELTER - 150kg
CRUISER - 180kg
EVENT 2 - LOG FLOOR TO OVERHEAD
3 weights. Total combined weight lifted in 75 seconds. You must start with lightest log and can only progress to the next after a successful lift. The amount of reps you do will be multiplied by the weight/s of the logs used to get your total. Belts can we worn but buckles MUST be to the rear of the lifter.
BANTAM - 30kg Wooden Log, 40kg Circus Log, 50kg Wooden Log
WELTER - 45kg Wooden Log, 60kg Circus Log, 75kg Wooden Log
CRUISER - 70kg Wooden Log, 85kg Circus Log, 100kg Wooden Log
EVENT 3 - HYBRID STONE CARRY
Duck Walk. Max distance in 60 seconds.
BANTAM - 75kg 10 metre drop & turn.
WELTER - 95kg 10 metre drop & turn.
CRUISER - 95kg. 10m Drop and Turn. Drops can only be made in the end zones. Any drop made between end zones ends your attempt.
EVENT 4 - MYSTERY EVENT
Details of the mystery event will be released 4 weeks before the competition, so you have some time to train.
EVENT 5 - ATLAS STONES
Total combined weight lifted to a 4" platform in 60 seconds. You can choose whichever stone or combinations of stones you would like to get the biggest total (kg). The amount of reps you do will be multiplied by the weight/s of the stones used to calculate your total.
BANTAM - 45kg, 60kg, 70kg
WELTER - 60kg, 80kg, 100kg
CRUISER - 80kg, 100kg, 126kg
Weights and events are subject to change if needed but we will endeavour to keep them the same.Each class has a limit of 12 competitors.
There will be trophies for the top 3 in each category and a t-shirt for everyone who competes on the day.
