We’re back for our third year in a row! This is a beginner friendly comp and we encourage as many people as possible to come along and get involved. There will be four entry categories: Women, Men’s First Timer, Men’s Beginner, Men’s Novice. Spaces are limited to 8 competitors per category. Please pick a category commensurate with your level of strength. If you have previously placed in the top 3 in your category in a previous DGSM competition, then you must move up to the next category. If we think you’ve entered the wrong category, we may ask you to change or to withdraw as necessary.

Event 1: Max Log
Rules
- Each lifter has 3 attempts.
- Each attempt must be cleaned from the floor.
- Must lock out and wait for down signal.
- Push presses & jerks are allowed.
- Sleeves and chalk allowed.
- No grip shirts allowed.
Event 2: Max Silver Dollar Deadlift
Rules
- Each lifter has 3 attempts.
- Must lock out and wait for down signal.
- Chalk, straps, and baby powder allowed.
- No suits.
Event 3: Carrying Medley – Duck Walk, Suitcase, Sandbag
Women – 60kg Duck Walk, 40kg Suitcase, 25kg Dave’s Gym Hammer (No sandbag)
Men’s First Timer - 80kg Duck Walk, 60kg Suitcase, 60kg Sandbag
Men’s Beginner - 100kg Duck Walk, 75kg Suitcase, 80kg Sandbag
Men’s Novice - 120kg Duck Walk, 90kg Suitcase, 100kg Sandbag
Rules
- Competitor will start at one end of 15m length and run up and down bringing each implement back to the start line in turn.
- Fastest time wins.
- Each implement must be carried across the line, not thrown.
- Chalk, and wraps allowed.
- No tacky, straps or lifting hooks allowed.
Event 4: Stone to shoulder
Women – 40kg
Men’s First Timer – 60kg
Men’s Beginner – 80kg
Men’s Novice – 100kg
