Event Rules:
Overhead:
Athletes will have 60s to perform as many reps as possible clean and pressing a barbell and two dumbbells.
Athletes will start next to their barbell which will be cleaned and pressed from the floor to overhead. Once a rep is completed the athlete will move onto the Double Dumbbells, continuously back and forth. In order for a rep to count, an athlete must have their elbows, hips and knees locked out with their heads through, the implement overhead and receive a "Down" command from their referee.
Athletes may wear one pair of elbow and/or knee sleeves. Belts, chalk and wrist wraps are also permitted.
Deadlift:
Athletes will have 60s to perform as many deadlift reps as possible. In order for a rep to count the athlete must stand up holding their barbell, with their hips and knees locked, shoulders back, and recieve a "Down' command from their referee.
Although there will be no "Start" command for each rep, athletes may not bounce the barbell off the
floor or perform "touch and go" reps. The bar must come to a dead stop on the floor before another rep can commence.
Belts, straps and chalk permitted. No suits.
Farmers & Sandbag:
Atheltes will have 60s to pick up and carry two farmers handles down a 20m course. Once they reach the end, the handles must break the line (partially cross over) before they can run back for a sandbag. The sandbag will be picked up and carried 20m before being loaded over a Yoke (48" for men, 44" for women). Once the bag hits the floor, your time will be stopped. Fastest wins.
Athletes may wear one pair of elbow and/or knee sleeves. Belts, chalk and wrist wraps are also permitted. Straps are not permitted.
Kettlebell Crucifix:
Atheltes will hold two kettlebells with arms extended directly out to the side. Palms must be facing upwards. Referees may warn you or stop your time if your arms are not fully straightened or the kettlebell drops below shoulder height. Longest maintaining position wins.
No supportive equipment is permitted, including all sleeves and wrist wraps.
Hack Squat Rising Weight:
Athletes will perform a hack squat, touching safeties at the bottom of the machine and then standing back up. Knees do not have to be fully locked out at the top, and we do not encourage them to be. Instead your legs must be straightened with soft knees.
After a rep has been completed, loaders will add an additional 5kg to the machine for women and 10kg for men. The athlete who performs the most total reps wins, each rep being heavier than the last.
Knee sleeves, and belts are permitted. No knee wraps.
