We will now be running this competition at Iron Forge Gym. We are still going to make this into a big event and a great day of strongman, but the complicated logistics and extremely high costs (with no financial sponsors) made running the comp in the town centre an impossibility (for this year at least). Therefore we went with what we know and what works, keeping the familiar setting of Iron forge Gym.
We will host 3 mens categories and 3 womens.

Log Press for a Max
4x4 Tyre Deadlift on the 10' Kratos Bar for max reps. (14-15" deadlift height approx)
Rising Weight Frame Carry (max distance, weight increasing each length completed)

4x4 tyre Kratos Bar Deadlift for Reps in 60 seconds.
Kratos Bar 14-15" bar height deadlift for reps in 60 seconds. Bar will have one or two 4x4 tyres on the bar to raise the bar up slightly.

Kratos Bar Deadlift – Max Reps (60 Seconds) • Time limit: 60 seconds • Bar: Kratos Bar at competition height • Start position: Bar motionless on the floor • Lift standard: • Full lockout required (knees and hips locked, shoulders back) • Judge’s down command required before lowering • Reps: • Dead-stop reps only – bar must clearly come to a complete stop on the floor • No touch-and-go; reps not clearly stopped will be discounted • Technique rules: • No supporting the bar on thighs or equipment • Hitching is allowed • Grip: • Straps allowed • Fingers must be fully wrapped around the bar • Thumb must be in contact with the bar • Mixed grip and hook grip permitted • Equipment: • Deadlift suits allowed • Belt, sleeves, and chalk allowed • No tacky • Timing rule: • If a rep is initiated before the 60-second time limit (bar breaks contact with the floor), the athlete may complete that rep even if the clock expires before lockout • Counting reps: • Rep counts only after lockout and down command • Judge’s decision is final • Tie-break: • Fastest time to final completed rep

Log Press for a max lift. Rising bar format. 3 attempts per lifter.
Log Press – Max Weight (Rising Bar) • Event format: Rising bar / max weight • Attempts: 3 attempts per athlete • Log: Competition log as supplied by promoter • Start position: Log starting on drop pads • Clean standard: • Log must be cleaned to the shoulders • Viper / one-motion clean is permitted • Press standard: • Log must be pressed to full overhead lockout • Elbows locked, head through • Feet must be stable and in line at the top • If a split jerk is used, the athlete must recover so feet are together before the down command • Commands: • Down command required before lowering the log • Technique rules: • Pressing styles allowed: strict press, push press, push jerk, split jerk • Feet & platform: • Feet may move during the lift • Athlete must remain within the platform • Equipment: • Belts, sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves allowed • Chalk allowed • No tacky • Judging: • Lift counts when full lockout, control, and correct foot position are achieved • Judge’s decision is final • Tie-break: • Heaviest successful lift wins
