We will be running a strongman comp on Saturday 22nd July.
Entry will be open to the following categories….
M1 - Men’s beginners / first timersM2 - Men’s NoviceM3 - Men’s IntermediatesW1 - Women’s BeginnersW2 - Women’s Novice/Inters
Events will be….
1. Silver Dollar Deadlift for Reps2. Axle Clean and Press (for max)3. Uphill Wheelbarrow walk and Farmers Walk Medley (30m Wheelbarrow and 15m drop and turn farmers)4. Hercules Hold5. Sandbag Over Yoke (90 seconds)
Event Weights (subject to possible changes)
1. Silver Dollar Deadlift M1 - 185kg, M2 - 240kg, M3 - 290kg, W1 - 140kg, W2 - 170kg2. Axle Overhead for 1 rep max Rising bar set up, 4 attempts allowed each. 3. Wheelbarrow Uphill Walk (30m) into Farmers walk (15m/15m drop and turn) M1 - 175kg and 70kg per hand M2 - 200kg and 90kg per hand M3 - 250kg and 110kg per hand W1 - 125kg and 50kg per hand W2 - 150kg and 70kg per hand4. Hercules Hold M1 - 75kg per hand, M2 - 100kg per hand, M3 - 120kg per hand, W1 - 60kg per hand, W2 - 80kg per hand5. Sandbag Over Yoke M1 - 60kg, M2 - 80kg, M3 - 100kg, W1 - 40kg, W2 - 60kg
Please note - we have decided not to include an Opens category for men or women this time as last years comps received such low number of entries. If you would be interested in heavier categories for mens and womens and we can get enough people then we will add them.
Entry fee is £30 per person and only upfront payment secures your place. We will only open up entry for limited time so get your entry in quickly.
To enter, email [email protected] with your category, required t-shirt size and a screenshot of your payment via PayPal confirming your £30 has been paid. Please make your payments to the PayPal account [email protected].Please note, be careful on the spelling of the email address as your payment will not come through unless the email address is spelt exactly. Once we have received payment you will receive a confirmation email. ONLY email to [email protected] and full payment being received will confirm your place.
Future CompsOur 2nd strongman competition of the year will be on 2nd September and will involve the following events -Yoke, Shield Carry, Monster DB for reps, Deadlift Medley, Grip Mystery Event. Entry for this comp will go live mid July.
