Hosted by Underdog Crew studios, an innovative not-for-profit filmmaking studio for marginalised young adults in central Colchester. Our first annual fundraiser event from our new permanent studio base.

Originally planned to be held in our new film studio, the event has already gained enough interest to seek a larger Colchester venue. the will be confirmed ASAP. 

All competitors receive professionally created video and photosets of their Herculean efforts within an indoor set, professionally dressed as a world standard strongman arena. Our aim is to continue to elevate awareness towards this high octane pursuit and present the 'strength community' in the highest professional light. The determination to succeed and relentless dedication towards excellence mirrors the Underdog Crew spirit that we instil in our project youths. Your competitive tenacity and inner fire will instil another level of inspiriatin to our studio participants.

Underdog Crew studio Director, DB Morgan, is a multi award winning filmmaker and also an autistic, PTSD, mental health survivor.Our Underdog Crew studio has running costs in excess of £25,000 each year. This will be covered by an ongoing chain of local grant funding, sponsorship and revenue from workshops and annual events.

WHY 'STRONGMAN EVENTS?

DB has always held a great interest in strongman events, excitedly spending Chritmas and new year as a kid cheering on his idols on World's strongest man. TRIVIA: DB's son David, 19, is on his own journey as a strongman competitor. David is already beginning to make a name for himself for his will to succeed. A recent example is his amazing exploits at the Arnold Classics this year. (4.5 million views and counting)

Following the imminent success of the 'IRON MAIDEN' event, the next strength event hosted at Underdog Crew studio will be 'Beast of the East', a mixed event to be held in late 2023.
