LANARKSHIRE'S STRONGEST NOVICE TEAM 2023
How does it work?
This is open to any novice lifters. This is people that have not competed before or are just new to the sport. You do not qualify as novice if you have podiumed at a previous competition. Glory hunting is a sin.
A team is 2 men.
Cost of entry is £50 total for the team.

There is no weight category it is just any 2 men of any size at novice level that wish to team up together.
Events
LOG PRESS 100KG. Back and forth between men.
1 man presses and then the next man presses. You must succeed a lift before the partner can attempt. This is to prevent weaker pressers from trying to pass it onto the stronger presser.
SANDBAG FOR MAX DISTANCE 100kg. This will be dropped and re picked up by the team mate at every 20m point.
DEADLIFT FOR REPS 220. 1 MAN only Nominated from the team will compete in the deadlift.
FARMERS WALK FOR MAX DISTANCE 100kg per hand. 1 man only Nominated from the team. This must be the member that did NOT deadlift.
SANDBAG OVER YOKE FOR REPS 110KG. Both men must pass the sandbag back and forward over the yoke.
All final rules to be complete next week subject to testing.
