KING & QUEEN OF THE SOUTH 2027

Five events. One title.

Deadlift for Reps • Overhead Medley • Husafell into Keg • Sandbag Over Yoke • Hercules HoldGENERAL

COMPETITION RULES

All athletes must attend the event briefing and be ready to compete when their name is called.

Athletes are responsible for using legal equipment and for checking any unusual equipment with the head referee before the event begins.

Referee commands must be followed at all times. A repetition performed without satisfying the required lockout, finish position or referee command will not be counted.

0 reps/time completed = 0 points awarded

Ties share average points.

Event weights and rules are now posted below.

Equipment & Crash Pads

Where crash/drop pads are provided, all competition equipment must be returned, under control onto the designated pads.

Athletes must make a reasonable effort to control the direction in which equipment is released and ensure it lands on the pads provided.

Deliberately throwing, dropping or directing equipment away from the designated pads may result in the repetition being disallowed and/or a warning from the referee. Repeated or dangerous disregard of this rule may result in event or competition disqualification.

This rule is in place for the safety of athletes, referees, loaders, spectators and competition equipment.

Where an event has a time limit, only work successfully completed before the time expires will count.

Unsafe, abusive or deliberately unsporting conduct may result in a warning, loss of a repetition, event disqualification or competition disqualification depending on severity.

Equipment failures or circumstances outside an athlete’s control will be dealt with by the head referee/event organisers. Re-runs will only be awarded at their discretion.

Any clarification given during the official athletes’ briefing takes precedence over these written rules.

The head referee’s decision on repetitions, distances, times and event results is final.

Athlete & Warm-Up Area Access

For the safety of all competitors and to ensure the competition runs smoothly, only competing athletes and authorised event staff are permitted within the designated athlete and warm-up areas. Coaches, family members, friends and other supporters must remain within the designated spectator areas at all times and will not be permitted into the warm-up or athlete areas. Athletes are responsible for ensuring their coaches and supporters are aware of this rule. Anyone entering a restricted area without permission will be asked to return to the spectator area. This rule is in place to maintain a safe, organised environment and ensure every athlete has fair and uninterrupted access to the warm-up facilities.
