log/ axle/ dumbbell

Athletes will have 75 seconds and must complete in order, axle into log then as many successful repetitions as possible on dumbell.

The implements must be completed in the stated order: Axle → Log → Dumbbell for max reps.  For an overhead repetition to count, the athlete must demonstrate clear control at lockout with the implement overhead, elbows extended, knees and hips extended and feet stationary, and wait for the referee’s “DOWN” command. Any method of getting the implement overhead is permitted unless otherwise specified, including strict press, push press, push jerk or split jerk. If split, the feet must return to a controlled position before the down command. No rep will be awarded for an incomplete lockout, lowering the implement before the referee’s command or failing to demonstrate control.

Farmers with trump weight option

Athletes will carry a pair of farmers implements 15 metres out and 15 metres back as quickly as possible.

Athletes will carry a pair of farmers implements 15 metres out and 15 metres back as quickly as possible. The athlete begins behind the start line with the implements on the floor. On the referee’s signal, the athlete may pick the implements and begin. At the turning point, the athlete must negotiate the designated turning line/area before returning. Drops are permitted, and the athlete may repick the implements within the time limit. Deliberately throwing or sliding the implements forward will not be permitted. The event finishes when the required part of both implements crosses the finish line. Fastest completed time wins. Athletes who do not complete the course will be ranked by distance completed, followed by time where required.

15” Deadlift with trump weight option

Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete as many successful deadlift repetitions as possible from a 15-inch height.

Each repetition begins with the implement on the floor/supports and finishes with the athlete standing fully upright with knees and hips extended and shoulders in a controlled finishing position. The referee will give a “DOWN” command once a successful lockout has been demonstrated. The athlete must control the implement back to the floor. Deliberately dropping the implement from lockout may result in the repetition being disallowed. Straps and belts will be permitted. Deadlift suits for inters and opens only, all straps allowed.

sandbag carry then drag

Athletes will complete a two-sandbag carry followed by a drag against the clock.

On the starting signal, the athlete will carry Sandbag 1 for 15 metres and place it completely beyond the designated line. The athlete then returns to collect Sandbag 2, carries it over the same 15-metre course and places it beyond the designated line. The athlete will then complete the designated 15-metre drag to finish the event. Sandbags may be carried using any safe technique but must not be deliberately thrown forward to gain distance. The event finishes when the required part of the drag apparatus crosses the finish line. Fastest completed time wins. Athletes failing to complete the entire event will be ranked according to progression through the course and distance achieved.

Sandbag over bar

Athletes will have 75 seconds to complete as many successful sandbag-over-yoke repetitions as possible.

The sandbag begins on the floor. The athlete must lift the bag and pass it completely over the yoke crossbar. The athlete then moves to the opposite side, retrieves the bag and repeats the movement back over the bar. Each successful passage of the sandbag completely over the crossbar counts as one repetition. The athlete may use any safe method to lift and load the bag. The yoke must not be intentionally pushed, lifted or manipulated to assist the repetition. If the sandbag fails to completely clear the crossbar, no rep will be awarded. Most successful repetitions within 75 seconds wins.

It's free to register and list a competition, gym or coach. Or, if you know of one that's missing, please let us know by email, Instagram or Facebook. Found a listing that needs more detail? Tell the owner about us so they can add it.

We are self funded and generate income from our shop sales and site sponsorship. We use this to cover costs for running the site and to give back to the sport by sponsoring competitions. Want to sponsor us? Get in touch using the details above.
