WE DID IT 11th May 2026 8:12am

Hey squad,

Thank you so much to everyone who came to compete, spectate, help, or just enjoy the weekend!

This competition started back in 2022, when I had to beg my mates to enter so it didn’t feel quiet. Fast forward to 2026 and we’ve now got 11 categories, almost 150 athletes across the weekend, hundreds of spectators, tonnes of sponsors on board, our own merch line, and so much more to be proud of.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for the support.

It was such a fun event, and I’m incredibly proud of how everything ran considering how many of you were competing. Of course, we’d love to know what you thought went well, and what we could improve moving forward, so we’ve made a feedback form. If you could spare two minutes to fill it in, we’d appreciate it massively!

HAYNES FARM OPEN FEEDBACK FORM — https://forms.gle/31DFenFkTaDWakAt9

Congratulations to all of our winners and podium finishers, everyone who hit PBs, and everyone who competed — whether it was your 1st competition or your 100th.

Special mentions to:

Tony Gibbons — winning a £200 LUXIAOJUN voucher for one of the most impressive axle clean & presses I’ve ever seen.

Flic White — winning a £200 LUXIAOJUN voucher for showing incredible spirit on the overhead event, pushing through despite being in tears and refusing to give up.

Hattie Archer — winning a pair of Odd Objects Sho Shorts for the fastest Lumberjack Carry time on Saturday.

Lee Strawbridge — winning a pair of Odd Objects Sho Shorts for the fastest Lumberjack Carry time on Sunday.

Finally, if you enjoyed yourself and could leave us a Google Review, it would help us massively too:
https://g.page/r/CUMF0iKsFUoZEAE/review

Also, if you’re wondering what to do next — we’ve launched a 12-week group coaching plan starting June 1st. Check it out here:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf9K68ACC27rsSoRZk7fobAdU1xX_4tDgSCcrsJZBzJ4Ok6VQ/viewform

Thank you again, guys. We love this show, and it continues to get better every single year.

We can’t wait to see you all again in 2027 ❤️

Last Bits to Know! 8th May 2026 6:31am

Final Information for Athletes

Right squad – 24 hours to go until we kick off a crazy weekend.

First of all, for those driving:
The address is Kemps Farm, Off Walton Avenue, OX17 3JZ.

Sat navs can sometimes struggle to find the driveway, so please make sure yours is taking you to Walton Avenue before you set off.

What3Words: ///strongman.impeached.wiring (mad that “strongman” is in there… 😅)

Also, the council, in its infinite wisdom, has decided to dig up most of Banbury’s roads. As a result, there are temporary traffic lights everywhere. I strongly advise coming off at J10 rather than J11 on the M40.

If you’re travelling via Banbury, I’d allow an extra 10–15 minutes just in case.

Please, please, PLEASE bring a chair – we have zero hay bales this year, so seating is very limited. If you don’t fancy sitting on the floor, bring something with you.

A final reminder that all spectator fees will be going to Dogs for Good. They’ll also be there on the day collecting donations – anything you can give will go a long way.

Quick clarification on deadlift jumps:
They will be in 5kg increments up to 100kg (women) and 200kg (men), then 2.5kg increments thereafter.

And just to completely make sure - Novice categories on Saturday. Everyone else on Sunday.

WAIVERS have now gone out - and I believe any issues have been resolved. Please get these signed before you compete. I'll have a couple printed but please do try get it signed before you arrive.

I look forward to seeing you all this weekend.

Big love ❤️

Haynes Farm Open 2026 - Everything you need to know!! 29th Apr 2026 10:51am

Right squad — we’re back from the USA, and all attention is now on the Haynes Farm Open.
Please remind me to never host the biggest show of the year right after Worlds and Europe’s Strongest Man again… 😂

Dais and I are massively grateful for all of you, and we’re buzzing for what’s going to be the biggest year yet.

GENERAL INFO

Timings
Please arrive from 08:00, ready to kick off around 09:45.
Athlete briefing at 09:30.
Deadlift openers will be required at sign-in.

Spectators
Tickets are valid for the full weekend — if you’ve bought one, you can come and watch both days.

Well-behaved doggos are welcome (as long as I can say hi 🐶).

ALL spectator ticket money will be donated to Dogs for Good — they’ll be there on the day collecting. Every donation goes a long way, and I’m buzzing to say we’ve already raised over £1,000.

Food, Drink & Merch
Food, drink, and merch will be available on the day — but feel free to bring your own as well.

Parking
Parking is in a field — even if it rains.
Please plan accordingly and car share wherever possible.

Toilets
Toilets will be available on site.

Payments
Some vendors may be cash only — bring both cash and card if possible.

WEIGHT CLASSES

For this competition, we are not doing formal weigh-ins.

Classes were used as a rough guide to make sure people entered the right category — I do not want anyone doing sketchy weight cuts for a novice/masters comp.

It’s simply:

  • Lighter Novice/Masters

  • Heavier Novice/Masters

If you turn up for U105s looking 140kg… I’ll be calling you out 😂
Otherwise, just be honest.

If you’d like to move up a class, just let me know.

WOMEN’S MASTERS

We’ve made the decision to combine the two classes.

This is to give you a better competition — I don’t believe in running classes with fewer than 5 athletes, and unfortunately the numbers weren’t there this year.

If you have any concerns, please reach out.

WARM-UP AREA & EVENT FLOW

Just like last year, athletes will have a separate barn for warm-ups.

Please do not overcrowd the competition barn when you are not competing — this keeps things running smoothly, safer for everyone, and gives athletes the space they need to perform.

Warm-up equipment will be available.

EVENT RULES

Full event rules will be given on the day during the athlete briefing.

TROPHIES & PRIZES

Trophies have once again been produced by Opus Strength — and they’re unreal.

  • Custom laser-cut medals for 2nd & 3rd

  • Loads of prizes from sponsors including
ESN, Odd Objects, and Haynes Strength

WAIVERS

Waivers will be sent out in the next few days.
Please complete this before competition day.

No waiver = no competition.

IMPORTANT

Everyone helping out is a volunteer — either close friends or family.

Anyone being rude or disrespectful to staff will be removed from the competition.
Same goes for the kit — this isn’t a big company setup, it’s my personal equipment.

Please respect it.

FINAL NOTE

This competition is always the highlight of the year.
I can’t wait to meet all of you and put on the best show yet.

I’ll be flat out all day making sure things run smoothly, but I’ll happily do photos, chats, and signatures after the show finishes — just be respectful of timings ❤️

Any questions I’ve missed — drop them on the page!

Max Cambridge Deadlift

The Max Deadlift.

Best way to start off the show. Athletes will be given 3 attempts to lift the heaviest deadlift they can.

Rising bar style.

3 lifts each, rising bar style. 4th lifts will be allowed to go for the record if applicable. (365 Mens - L.Byng, 190 Womens T. Peters) All straps allowed. Talc is allowed.

No oils, no tackies, no deadlift suits OR briefs. No sumo.

Log/Axle for Reps

Athletes are to press a log, followed by an axle, for reps in 60s.

Most reps wins.

Implements must be pressed in order - Log - Axle - Log - Axle etc.

If you fail the log, you cannot try the axle.

Belt cleans are fine for all classes EXCEPT than Men's Opens (Mainly because I have to suffer so you boys can too)

No Grip Tops, No knee or elbow wraps, just one pair of sleeves (can have a cuff as well if you like) and wrist wraps

Tractor Pull

Tractor Pull!

An old classic I just had to bring back. This will be indoors on concrete.

You will either be doing Arm over Arm OR Harness and Rope. These wont be announced till closer to the date as I need to test this thoroughly. Be prepared for both.

Anything goes really! Just prepare for either a truck pull or an arm over arm pull!

Course length is the length of the barn (roughly 13m) - so it will be heavy.

Mystery Event

Lol - good luck friends.

This ones gonna suck

Keg Loading Medley

4 Kegs to be loaded for time!

4 Kegs Per Class They will be slightly staggered (lightest furthest away, heaviest closest)

Ranging from 10m to 5m.

Kegs must be stood upright on the trailer.

Quick question about the log / axle weights - are the first weights listed the log and second weight axle - meaning the lighter weight is the log?

Ta!

Paddy Haynes avatar

As it's written. So Log / Axle means log is the first weight axle is the 2nd.

Amy Collins avatar

hello! you said on you tube that the tractor pull will be harness pull. Is that for the novice women to or will we be arm over arm pull? As in previous years the men did harness and women did arm over arm. Thanks

Benjamin Searson avatar

Which video was this? I must have missed it!! Been training it a bit both ways but if we have an answer for definite I'd love to start focusing!!

Sam Shaw avatar

is the soectator tickets valid for both days or is it 1 ticket per day? thank you

Paddy Haynes avatar

Hi Sam!

Of course - if you've purchased a spectator ticket that's for both days so you can come and go! Just keep hold of your wristband!

Dan Stern avatar

Any update on the tractor pull yet please?

Jen Marshall avatar

If anyone else is out at World's but still needing to train for this and want to team up to find a gym let me know! :)

Ashley hourd avatar

Benjamin Searson avatar

Does my under 2 year old need her own spectator ticket? Or is she covered by other spectators?
