Unit Classic

The Unit Classic is a brand new pro-level strongman competition coming to Essex on 19th September 2026, hosted at The Unit. One of the UK’s leading strongman training facilities.

This is an invite-only show built to showcase top-level strength in a professional, athlete-focused setting.

The competition will feature 10 invited professional athletes, alongside 2 wildcard athletes. The wildcard places will be awarded to the top performers from the British U120s podium. All athletes will take on five heavy events, designed to test maximal strength, work capacity, and composure under pressure.

180kg trump weight

Event 2. Deadlift for Reps
75 seconds
340kg deadlift for reps
370kg trump weight

Event 3. Yoke Carry
453kg (1000lb) yoke
20 metre carry

Event 4. Sandbag Load
140kg, 150kg, 160kg
15 metre load distance

Event 5. Stone Over Yoke
75 seconds
180kg stone for reps
200kg trump weight

There is a guaranteed £3,000 prize fund, available for the winners. In addition, every athlete will receive £100 as a registration fee to help cover travel and competition expenses as part of out athlete-first approach.

The Unit Classic will also feature a paid livestream, complete with professional graphics and live commentary, giving the athletes and the event the platform they deserve.

This is not just another show. It is the beginning of a new, high-standard strongman competition built with athletes at the centre of everything.
